Political ad spend intelligence · Meta & Google transparency data

Data & methodology

Where these numbers come from

Meta. Figures come from the public Ad Library Report, which Meta publishes as downloadable spend totals per page for ads about social issues, elections, or politics. Meta reports cumulative totals; daily spend here is the day-over-day difference between snapshots. Pages spending under $100 are reported by Meta as "≤ $100" and shown here as $100. Meta occasionally restates totals downward when ads are removed; negative differences are shown as $0.

Google. Figures come from Google's Political Advertising Transparency Report, published as a public dataset covering election ads on Search, YouTube, and Display. Google reports weekly incremental spend per verified advertiser, shown here as published. Licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Caveats. Platforms define "political" differently, verification and enforcement are imperfect, and both datasets lag real time by roughly a day (Meta) to a week (Google). Treat cross-platform comparisons as directional. This site is not affiliated with Meta or Google.

API. The normalized data behind this site is available as JSON: /api/v1/leaderboard?platform=meta&days=30 and /api/v1/advertiser/<id>/spend.
